Garden Fresh Salsa

Green peppers, tomatoes, and onions with jalapenos and green chilies. Flavored and seasoned with garlic, sugar, and vinegar.
Ingredients -
2 large Green Peppers, trimmed and quartered
4 large Tomatoes, chopped
2 medium Onions, peeled and quartered
1 diced Jalapeno Pepper
2 cans Green Chilies, diced
5 cloves Garlic, peeled
2 teaspoons Sugar
Vinegar
Jalapeno Peppers, if desired
 
Preparation:

1. Blend green peppers, onions, garlic and jalapenos separately in food processor. Scrape into bowl and blend.

2. Stir in tomatoes.

3. Blend in green chilies and sugar. Stir to mix well.

4. Add splash of vinegar.

5. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.

 



Cooking Tip
Habanero Peppers
Habanero peppers come in red, yellow and orange varieties and are very hot. Habaneros are not recommended for the every day salsa dish.

Jarred Peppers and Pepper Sauces

Store jarred peppers in a dark place, not the refrigerator. They are best when used immediately after purchase. After opening, tightly secure lids and store normally.
